• Eins Sein Raum-und-Zeit ( Fall 1995 ) - Troy - All instruments except drums by Chris Christopher Axelrad ( Calvin Owens, Ashen, Carolyn Wonderland, Body, Net IQ, Global Village Pillage ). Recorded at Paranormal Studios ( underwritten by Chris Wilson and Cactus Records and Tapes on West Alabama and Shephard ) of Jamie Sralla in the Heights on a 4-track that disappeared.

  Fellowship - Summer 1990

   A 60's Hippie Band from Saint St. Thomas Episcopal High School of Houston lost in the 90's.

  DeD Heathers - Fall 1988.

• This was a dada thing of Jonathon Tobin. He assembled some musicians who never met each other before at a keg party at a K&C meeting hall. We brought clay pots, shutters, garbage ... as stage props. We tried to play Velvet Underground, but when we got to Baba O'Reilly everything went chaotic and we caused the place to shut down by breaking garbage out while a fiddler was under the roof. An exercise in complete stochastic surprise. Non-linear Mitzvahs.

• These songs were performed and recorded by the following : Keith Christensen - fretless bass, Tom Thomas Knight - drums and percussion, Bernie Bernd Schulte-Ladbeck - Keyboards+Poetry, John R. Rowland - guitars, and Troy - Guitars+Bass+Keyboards+Vocals+Percussion+Lyrics.

• The name Tete-a-tete comes from the book by Marc Ribaud called "Visions of China". One page has a picture of a couple talking Tete-a-tete in a forbidden way in the forbidden city ....

• Other musicians involved included Austin Bartman on drums, Joseph Joe Svatek, Brian Illion, Tony Biegalski on non-linear and cut-up methodologies, Pete Castro for listening critiques, ...

• I put the group together in late1986, it disbanded in 1988 but it's inertia continued with various works by Bernd and myself, including drummer Austin X, and Tom Knight. Allan DeVinney tried out as singer however he found something else to do.  We also had Bobby Cook ( later part of So What ) try out but he left his drum set at our pad for 2 months which was really useful for me in formulating the initial tunes.

• Bernie and Frank Schulte-Ladbeck turned me on to Silence by John Cage as well as countless City Lights Beatnik Books which were very instrumental in the liberation of sounds and their freedom.

• Our gigs were at : the Westheimer Art Festival, Fitzgerald's, Zelda's, various Parties,   Axiom ( formely Caberet Voltaire / Catal Huyuk etc ), University of Houston,

• Our hang outs were at : Club Visions ( now Danish Inspirations ), BJ's, Pearls, Cafe Mode, Power Tools, Alief Bowl, Memorial Park, Jamaica Beach by Night with Glow in the Dark Algae Plankton, Cafe Edi, JoJo's, de Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel, MFA Houston, Arboreteum, Braes Bayou, Greenway Fountains..

  Runner - Spring of 1987

• Runner was a band made by the Penizak brothers. I knew Dominic from class. We jammed on some rocking covers under a tent at the St. Francis Bazaar, I believe either in the Spring of 1987 or 1988. I played my brother's fretless bass with a Warmouth neck.

  Euphoria  - Fall of 1986

• In the Fall of 1986, I think, I played with Dr. David Bloome who is/was a drummer and Mike Zakin with John Rowland, in a band called Euphoria. We borrowed material from Autodrive and also played some Talking Heads', but also some ABC: "Be Near Me." It was a benefit concert to help the school's students get a taxi so they would not drive home drunk. Oh Goy Maria, vat a mitzvah ... madd sadd badd dadd Zadd ladd qadd.
• We played the St. John's School's "Safe Rides" Program.

  Autodrive - Fall of 1985

• In the summer of 1985 I quit Ashen. I formed a band called Autodrive with Jason Borger on piano & keys, Sean Luman on electric drums, and John Rowland on guitar. We played some originals and the Theme from Mission Impossible. Jazz, funk, and wave.
• We played the 1985  ( SHS ) Sharpstown High School Torch talent Show and won 2nd played tied with Silent Blessing comprised of Apollo Marching band geeks Daryl Allison, Mike Schulyer, Danny Richter, Richard Wariner, and Doug Brennan. Alaine Bernstein and Matt Gard played a dedication to werner ranft which won the event. The show was pulled together by Brian Green, Saajex Gregory, Robert Costik.
• fans included Allison and Joanna Bale, , etc ...
• I effectively illicited and banished the ignorance of stoner-jocks who threw pennies at me.  I won.
• We also tried to pick this up in the spring of 1986, but I got sick and we could not play the St. Francis Bazaar.
• Playing the Fall 1985 Sharpstown Senior High Talent Show
• Jason Borger is now in a San Fran Band called High Water Rising.

  The Summer Jazz Workshop - 1984, 1985, 1986

• I started the Summer Jazz workshop, I think in the Summer of 1984. This was phenomenal. For $25 to $50 total, I learned from : Bubba Thomas, Conrad Johnson, Sebastian Whitaker, Al Jackson, Mr. Green, Paul English, Scott Gehman, and Mrs. Gottschalk ... and more for 4 hours a day all summer long. It was a big jam session. Some of the places they took us to play : Astroworld, Six Flags, World Expo 1984 New Orleans, Sunrise studios, MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, nursing homes etc ...
• Playing in the All Star Band with Sebastian Whitaker on drums at the Jazz & Gospel tent in the 1984 New Orleans World Expo!

  Ashen - 1982 - 1985

• Once upon a time in 1982-1983 year of grade school, I was approached by Roy Ashen now with the Crash Poets http://www.thecrashpoets.com who told me that he was putting together a band. I had been BMXing all the time, and music began as a new career, except for the guitar I made from a cigar box with fishing string for my music teacher at Herod Elementary during the 1970's for our music class. I was also trying to build a guitar with a friend. Oh yeah, and the leftover bins at Baskin Robbins were used quite a few times to make drums when I was in my KISS phase in 1977-1979. I said yes, and I started to jam with him, his brother Danny Ashen, Chris Axelrad, and spent time learning from Roger Moncus at Jerry de Jong's Music Station.  I also joined the Jazz band, but I could not read music. Santa Claus gave me my first Bass ... a Kay shaped liked an SG. Later I got a Dan Electro Hondo Immo.
